THE SACRED GROUNDS OF HEKATE
The Astral Temple of HeKate, the Grove and the Garden
This is Ciara (pronounced Kee-ra), the Guardian of the Sacred Grounds of Hekate Potnia Theron and Priestess of the Temple. The name Ciara comes from a Gaelic word meaning "dark." We chose it to reflect her characteristics and the night sky, which inspires thoughts of worlds beyond. Ciara is a special servant, created to protect the Astral Temple by David, who kindly offered to help us with our project and created her with the assistance of Hecate. Ciara was then activated into the landscape by Sara.
THE SACRED GROUNDS OF HEKATE POTNIA THERON
The Sanctuary of Hekate Potnia Theron created, consecrated, and now maintains the Astral Temple of Hekate and its Sacred Grounds. Through a series of visualizations and the use of the map below, we will guide you in their discovery, so you can understand them and consider them as spaces of devotion, magical practice, and starting or ending points for your astral journeys and magical work. These places, like the visualizations that describe them, are primarily inspired by the Druidic tradition of OBOD, which characterizes at least in part the Hekatean Druidry promoted by the Sanctuary. You don't need to be interested in Druidism to use them. These Places are available to all devotees of Hekate, of any background or tradition, who share the values of cooperation, brotherhood, respect, and the Five Virtues of the Covenant of Hekate.
The Sacred Grove harks back to the Druidic tradition of the Sacred Grove. In Hekate's Herb Garden, you'll find the plants, herbs, and flowers mentioned in the Orphic Argonaut. Finally, the temple is very loosely based on Hekate's temple in Lagina. All the sites are protected by the magical servant Ciara, whom you'll meet during your visualizations.

The Map of the Sacred Grounds of Hekate Potnia Theron was designed for the Sanctuary of Hekate Potnia Theron by Simoni, a Greek artist belonging to the CoH.
